In this article we are going to discuss five skills you can learn as a student. These skills are ideal for learners at all levels of education. But I would recommend that if you a junior high or a senior high student you treat it will all seriousness.
The world is moving towards the fourth industrial revolution and therefore, it has become necessary for everyone to acquire some form of skills. This is why we are taking this precious time to look at some 5 skills you can learn as a student.
Acquiring skills doesn’t have to cost you a dime and also doesn’t demand much of your time and attention. With the advent of technologies and the internet of things, learning or acquiring a new skill has become seemingly easier. So please, stay glued as we run ourselves through these five skills you can learn as a student.
5 Skills You Can Learn For Free As a Student
The first skill you can learn as a student is website development. Gone are the days where website development was seen to be something cumbersome. In this current dispensation, it is the opposite. One may asked, developing website requires one to have knowledge in coding or programing and getting yourself with programming languages. Yes this is true, but there are others who have built site with little or no knowledge in these fields. We will discuss in the later part of these articles how we can learn how to build websites without paying a penny.

Mobile application development is another skill you can learn as a student for free. You may thinking why do I need to build mobile applications, have in mind gaming apps only worth about 300 Billion US dollars on the African continent. This is a huge untapped resource a student can go into, this requires no classroom instruction, and you can conveniently learn this.
Graphic design is one of the most needed skills you can think of, day is day out people are looking for others to design their wedding cards, design their T-Shirts, Banners and all forms of branding. An organization which stands tall among others is the one which places priority on branding. This is the work of a graphic designer and as a student you can learn this in addition to classroom activities. As I stated above we will look at how all these skills can be learnt for free.
When was the last time you asked about the prices of the pastries you see at wedding ceremonies, engagement, churches, and many other functions? The answer is either yes or no, but I tell you, always people are organizing parties, get-together, birthday celebrations and many kinds of functions. All these require the services of someone to prepare pastries for them. The common but most needful one amongst them is cake making; cakes are baked and designed in so many colourful ways. Everyday people are looking for cakes for their functions, this you can learn for free without paying anything.
How to Get these free skills as a student?
Now let’s look at how we can learn these skills without paying a penny. There a few items or gadgets we need before we can go into this journey; these are smartphone/laptop, internet connection and data.
Just hop onto YouTube, there are huge chunk of videos siting on the platform teaching how to do these things. In the search tab, just type the name of what you want to learn and search. YouTube videos can’t be downloaded on your phones or devices, so you have to download a mobile app called, ‘TubeGo’. Just copy the link to the video you have searched and paste it in the search tab on the TubeGo app.
Note: these can be made possible if you become committed to the process and trust me, I learnt all the rudiments of graphic design (Corel draw and Photoshop) without paying a dime to anyone.
