12 Different BECE Mathematics Construction Questions – Can You Solve All?

12 Different BECE Mathematics Construction Questions To Expect

Strategies for BECE candidates. BECE July Mock Questions

Construction has been one of the surest banker questions to expect in mathematics exams. These 12 construction questions are ideal for both BECE and WASSCE candidates. Students at the junior and senior high 1 and 2 can also try their hands on.

Note that “learnritehere” frowns hugely on examination malpractices and thus far, questions we don’t post leaked questions. It is our hallmark to providing quality and likely examination questions to students. This allows our readers and learners learn at their convenience as our motto depicts. These 12 different construction questions are not leaked question.

Be wary of those who pose as WAEC officials all in the name of giving you leaked questions in exchange for monetary offers. This is very disastrous and could go a long way to draw you closer to failure. The following are the 12 different construction questions to expect.

The first BECE Mathematics construction questions

  1. Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only; construct a triangle PQR such that /PQ/ = 6cm, /QR/= 4cm and angle PQR = 900 .

Construct perpendicular bisectors (mediators) of PQ and QR. Name the intersection of the mediators O.

Draw a circle with O as centre and OQ as radius.

Measure /PR/ and angle QPR

The second construction question

  • Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct a triangle XYZ in which

/YZ/ = 6cm and angle YZX = 600 and

/ZY/ = 9cm. Measure /XY/

Construct the mediator of YX

Draw a circle centre X and a radius of 5cm. Measure /YA/, where A is the point of intersection of the mediator and the circle in the triangular region XYZ

The third BECE Mathematics construction questions

  • Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only

Draw /PQ/ =9cm

Construct a perpendicular to PQ at Q

Construct angle QPS = 600 at the point P on PQ such that PS = 6.5cm

Construct a line parallel to PQ through S. Let the perpendicular pass through Q and the Parallel through S to meet at R. Measure /PR/

The fourth construction question

  • Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct a triangle ABC such that, /BA/ = 10cm, angle ABC =900 and angle BAC = 300 . Measure the length BC. Bisect the angle ACB to meet /BA/ at D.

What type of triangle is CDA?

Calculate the area of the triangle ABC.

The fifth construction question

  • Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, constrict a triangle ABC such that /AB/ =9cm, angle BAC = 600 and angle ABC = 450

Construct a line from the point C perpendicular to AB and let it meet AB a t P. Measure /CP/ and /AP/. What is the value of the angle ACP?

The sixth construction question

  • Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct triangle ABC, in which AB= 6cm, AC = 10cm and BC = 8cm. Measure angle ABC. Construct the perpendicular bisectors of AB and BC to meet at T.

The seventh construction question

  • Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct triangle PQR such that /PQ/=8cm, angle QPR =350 . Measure /QR/.

The eighth construction question

  • Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct triangle ABC with sides /AB/=7cm. /BC/=9cm and /AC/=8.5cm. Draw the perpendicular bisectors of the three sides. Locate the point of the intersection, O of the perpendicular bisectors, with centre O and radius OA, draw a circle to pass through the vertices of the triangle.

Measure and write down the radius of the circle you have drawn.

The ninth construction question

  • Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct ABC such that /AB/=5.5 cm and angle ABC = 950. From C, draw a line to join A. Construct the bisectors of angle ACB and CAB. Measure the length of AC and write down.

The tenth construction question

Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct a triangle PQR with length PQ=12cm, angles QPR = 600 and PQR = 650 . Construct the perpendicular bisectors of /PR/ and /RQ/  to meet a S.

Measure the length of /TP/

The eleventh construction question

Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct triangle PST with angle PST =300, ST = 9cm and PS= 12cm. with T as centre, draw a circle of radius 6cm. construct the perpendicular bisectors of line PS. Label the intersections of the circle and the mediator Q1 and Q2.

Measure /Q1Q2/

Measure angle Q1TQ2.

The twelfth construction question

Using a ruler and a pair of compasses only, construct triangle XYZ with XY = 8cm, YZ = 10 cm and XZ = 12cm. Draw the perpendicular bisectors of line XY and line XZ. Label the point of intersection of the two bisectors as T; with point T as centre, draw a circle of radius 6cm.

Measure /TX/ and angle XYZ
