Integrated Science Questions on Machines and Photosynthesis
This time, we are taking a look at some possible examination questions on integrated science. These science questions are recommended for BECE, WASSCE and junior high school learners.

The literature below will contain the science questions on machines and photosynthesis. Note that these are not leaked questions; we only provide to our readers the most likely examinations questions. This is done as part of our help to make available questions and reading materials to students who are not able to afford past questions.
Science question one
The diagram below is an illustration of a school cuboid with faces A,B,C D shown and sides a, b, c indicated. Study the diagram carefully and answer the questions that follow
- Measure and record the length of each of the sides labelled a, b and c in centimetres.
- Determine the area of each faces A and B.
- If the weight of the cuboid is 100N, determine the pressure exerted by the cuboid in N/cm2 when lies on face A and face B.
- From your result above, explain how pressure exerted by a body changes with the area on which it lies.
Science question two
- Explain why it is easier to cut a stick with sharp knife than a blunt knife
- Explain the following;
1 Passengers in a bus move forward when the bus stops abruptly
2 A body walking on a concrete floor falls suddenly when he steps on banana peels.
- State four types of forces.
- What four effects of force on a body do you know?
- Name two household devices that make use of surface tension
- Explain how the principle of surface tension operates in on the devices you mentioned above.
Science question three
SUPERB MOCK QUESTIONS FOUR (SCIENCE)
In an experiment, a leaf that is partly green and partly yellow is plucked from a tree and the leaf is
- Boiled for a minute
- Dipped in warm alcohol
- Washed in cold water
- Dipped in iodine solution
One part of the leaf turns blue-black after the dipping in iodine solution while the other part remains unchanged.
- Explain why each of the processes above carried out.
- Which part of the leaf turns blue-black and why?
- Why does the other part of the leaf not change colour?
Science Question 4
- Identify the conditions necessary for photosynthesis to occur and state their functions.
- Group the following into by-product, main product and raw materials (6CO2, 6O2, H20, C6H12O6)
- Write any three importance of photosynthesis
- State any three differences between respiration and photosynthesis.
- Give any other four organisms other than plants that are autotrophs.
- The process by which carbon dioxide is taken into the stomata is called?
These science questions can be solved individually, you can as well seek the assistance of your friends or teachers should you encounter any challenges.
