We Are Likely to Register SIM Cards Again – Former NIA Officer Alleges

Registered SIM Cards are Likely to be Re-registered – NDC IT Guru Alleges. We are going to do the SIM registration again if care is not taken.

Of one the IT Gurus in the NDC party has alleged that all registered SIM Card are likely to be registered again.

The SIM cards registration exercise which has been on for almost a year now will have to be re-registered, entire exercise not correctly done according to NDC’s IT Guru.

What this will mean is that all those who have done the re-registration of the SIM are likely to go through the entire processes again.

Well, would that call for another massing up of people at all registration points? And what about the fate of those in queues looking to get their cards registered. From the point of view of the NDC’s IT Guru it is likely to be so.

If this allegation appears to be true, Subscribers will have to go and queue at the various points opened by the Telcos for the registration exercise.

We Are Likely to Register SIM Cards Again – Former NIA Officer Alleges

The NDC IT guru known has asserted that the SIM registration is not done correctly. According to him, the biometrics being captured is useless. This claim of his translates to mean that, the methods used in capturing the data by the Telcos are factually incorrect.

The gist was dropped by Mr Yayra Koku who was the Officer at the National Identification Authority in the erstwhile John Mahama administration in charge of biometrics.

However, the registration exercise is scheduled by the minster for communication to end on the 30th of September, 2022 after previously deadlines given failed.

Will that mean the whole exercise has to be restarted? Certainly, no one knows; but Yayra Koku of NDC believes that there’s the likelihood for the exercise to be restarted since data captured are incorrect.

This pronouncement was by him on his Facebook page and has since received lots of reactions and comments from his followers.  We will share with you a shot of the assertions.

Mr Koku wrote; “If care is not taken, we may end up doing the SIM card registration again because the biometrics they are capturing are USELESSS.”
