NCA Sets New modalities for all Unregistered SIM Cards
Following the deadline set for the SIM registration exercise across the country, the National Communication Authority on Friday met with industry players to determine the fate of unregistered SIM cards. The meeting saw the NCA set new modalities for all Unregistered SIM Cards.
What everyone knows across the country is that, by 30th September, all unregistered SIM cards will be blocked. Regardless, the NCA has set new modalities.
The modality is that, all unregistered SIM cards users will have up to next week to know their fate. This will tell if their SIM cards will be blocked or not.
Again, all those who have completed the first stage of the registration process still have up to the end of the year to complete face two. If you have dialed, *404# and gotten your unique code, you can go ahead with the face two of the exercise. That’s the second modality set by the NCA following the Friday meeting with industry players.
Broadband users like Telesol, Surfline and all other broadband networks also have being given some more time. This is because their registration exercise didn’t begin early.
These are the new modalities set by NCA for all unregistered SIM cards users across the country.
However, subscribers should note that, the modalities that will be communicated to the public on next week will contain punitive actions for those who have not registered their SIM cards.
