Man Sues Girlfriend for £1.9 Million for Emotional Trauma
A man in Singapore is suing a woman for a large sum of money because he says she caused him emotional trauma. The man, K Kawshigan, and the woman, Nora Tan Shu Mei, were friends for four years. But when she told him she only saw him as a friend, he sued her for a large amount of money.
Kawshigan is the director of a drone company. He says that Nora’s rejection of him damaged his reputation and caused him to lose five business partnerships. He is now suing her for £1.9 million in the Singapore High Court.
Nora has also taken legal action. She says that she had to buy equipment to protect herself from Kawshigan, who she says was bothering her. She is seeking £900 to cover the costs of the equipment and future counselling.
The case has gone to court and a decision will be made on February 9th. The two people met in 2016 and were members of the same club. But their friendship started to fall apart when they disagreed about their relationship.
