WAEC Gives Tips for Passing BECE and WASSCE Exams. Check Number 8 & 9
The Non- Profit Organization, West African Examination Council has come out with 11 tips for passing BECE and WASSCE exams. As a BECE or WASSCE candidate who wants to pass your WAEC exams, you need to see these
No one would be able to tell you how you can pass your BECE or WASSCE exams than WAEC itself. Note the BECE and WASSCE exams provide the opportunity for one to seek admission into the second cycle institution and the universities respectively. You certainly do not want to miss such opportunity.
Read them carefully, don’t skip a point
Below are the 11 Tips for Passing BECE and WASSCE Exams from WAEC
- Make sure you have correctly entered for the examination, i.e. registered for the right subjects, check for correct spelling/arrangement of names etc.
- Revise using the notes from your teachers, text books, past question papers, Chief Examiners’ Reports, etc.
- Get to the examination centre early at least 30 minutes before the start of the paper.
- In the examination hall, make sure you read and understand all instructions before you start work.
- Write your full name and index number in ink in the space provided on your question paper and answer booklet.
- Us 2B pencil only to shade your answers for the objective.
- Read through all questions carefully and make sure you understand the demands of each question before selecting the ones you wish to answer
- In determining the requirements of a question, take note of the key words such as – WHEN, STATE, DESCRIBE, CALCULATE, COMPARE, CONTRAST, DEFINE, DISCUSS, IDENTIFY, ILLUSTRATE, SUMMARIZE.
- Write fast and make sure that your handwriting is clear and legible.
- Don independent work in the exams hall.
- Obey instructions to start and stop work.
The examination council further indicated that, it does not UPGRADE results, and caution the public to be wary of such individuals as they deal with them at their own risk.
