Should you listen to this Advice before You go to SHS?
Are you a Junior High school and are about to sit for the West African Examination Council’s Exams – BECE? Well, as you hope to go to senior high, there are lots of things parents will tell you.
No parent wants his or her child to go wayward, and as a result they do their best in giving the best of advice. But there is this particular one you have to pay less attention to. Yes, I mean you don’t have to listen and go by it.
It isn’t because it is not good, it is actually the best form of advice one can give. But you don’t have to pay much attention to it. Second cycle education is meant to shape one’s life into becoming that perfect individual in the society but some individuals end up becoming recalcitrant
Now, this is what I want to say, every parent will tell his or her child not to make friends at school, especially not align with the bad ones. I tell you, friendships at school are the best thing you can ever think of as high school student.
While at high school, make lots of connections, good ones of course. Many students fail to go far due their inabilities to make social connections. If you have social connections, you have greater opportunities ahead of you. You might not know where you will need their help in securing that dream job or business.
This is real life experience I am sharing with you. Get to high school, look for good friends and start building your connections with them. Businesses can’t even thrive with social connections.
