Core Subjects
Four core subjects as you did at the junior high. These are;
– English Language: Enhances communication skills, both written and spoken.
– Mathematics: Develops quantitative and problem-solving skills.
– Integrated Science: Covers basic science concepts in an integrated manner.
– Social Studies: Provides an understanding of society, its structures, and functions.
Elective Subjects (Business-Related)
Here there up to eight different subjects and students do only four out of them. Subjects combination will depend on one’s school and particular class of the Business course.
1. Financial Accounting: This subject focuses on the principles and techniques of accounting, including preparing financial statements, recording transactions, and understanding financial information.
2. Business Management: Students learn about the principles of management, organizational structures, functions of management (planning, organizing, leading, controlling), and business ethics.
3. Economics: This subject introduces students to basic economic concepts, supply and demand, market structures, economic systems, and macroeconomics topics like inflation, unemployment, and fiscal policy.
4. Elective Mathematics: This is a more advanced level of mathematics that includes topics like calculus, statistics, and algebra. It’s particularly beneficial for students interested in pursuing higher studies in business, economics, or related fields.
5. Principles of Cost Accounting: Expands on costing principles, covering more advanced topics related to cost control, budgeting, and cost analysis.

Short Summary about the Business Course

2. Geography: Covers physical and human geography topics, including landforms, climate, population, urbanization, and environmental issues.

4. History: Explores historical events, developments, and figures in local, national, and world history.
