How to Replace Lost Voter ID Card – Online Payment Method.
If you have had your national voter’s ID card missing or spoilt and you are looking for to replace but don’t know how to. Run yourself through the content and learn how you could replace it with less effort or no stress.
In a press release dated, 2nd October, 2023 the Electoral Commission of Ghana has outlined the steps needed to be taken by anyone who has an issue regarding their ID card, be it spoilt or missing.
The steps below will take your through the steps you can use to replace your lost Voter ID card. Note that, this is an online payment and it involves some payments.

Ahead of the exercise to replace voter ID cards, the Electoral Commission has introduced an online payment portal to enable persons who wish to replace their lost ID cards pay for the replacement.
Applicants who wish to have their cards replaced should simply follow the steps below to make the payment.
- Dial *222*1067#
- Enter amount required
- Enter reference (Use your full name as reference)
- Transfer summary is presented
- Select to confirm details
- Wait for the prompt to authorize transaction or check under My Approvals by dialling *170#
The applicant will receive an SMS upon the successful completion of the transactions with the payment reference. This notification is to be presented at the point of payment.
The Electoral Commission believes that the introduction of the online payment portal will facilitate a swift payment and replacement process.
