 ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS IN THIS SECTION (COMPULSORY)

Obeng and Opoku are Ghanaian young boys who try to work hard to earn a living. Both Obeng and Opoku work in a private school. Obeng’s school was paying SSNIT Contribution for their workers while Opoku’s school was riot paying SSNIT contribution for their workers. In their old age, Opoku went on pension without receiving anything. Obeng also went on pension with huge amount of money which helped him to complete his uncompleted building and also was receiving money every month till he died.

  • State any three core functions of SSNIT (6marks)
  • What percentage does an employee pay to SSNIT from their salary every month? (2marks)
  • Obeng and which three category of people can qualify to benefit from the SSNIT pension scheme? (6marks)
  • Outline any three key roles an employee like Obeng can play in Social Security Contribution? (6marks)

  1. . Dede grew up very beautifully in the city of Kumasi. She decided to create her own business because of unemployment. She tried to sell goods in her community. She was very hard working. She always went to work and made sure she planned in advance for her business. Within some few period of time, she became financially sound. She was able to sponsor her younger siblings back to school.
  • How will you classify the business Dede set up? (2marks)
  • Give five advantages of setting your own business like Dede. (10marks)
  • Outline four things you think people can do to have a successful business (8marks)

3               (a)         State six emotional changes in both sexes ( boys and girls ) (6 marks)

  • Provide four problems that confront boys and girls at puberty (4marks)
  • Explain any five significance of puberty rites. (1 Omarks)
4 Owusu and Frimpong are all university graduates. They completed same school and same year as medical doctors. OWUSLI’S parent were very rich while Frimpong belonged to a poor family but was graduated with first class. The parents of owusu went and paid money for Owusu to be employed as a medical doctor in a big hospital. Frimpong remained in the house as unemployed with all his knowledge as a medical doctor. People lost their lives in the hands of Owusu as a medical doctor.

(a)       Explain why unqualified people are employed and qualified people remained

(b)       Outline three effects of bribery and corruption in the country?     (6marks)

(c)       Give four reasons one should not involve in bribery and corruption in the society?

  1. Dansoman is a nice and beautiful community which has a lot of peelile im,19 there. They are Christians, traditionalists and Muslims. The people there have double characters. Some are tolerant and others are intolerant. The tolerant communities are developing always whiles the intolerant communities are not developing.
  • What do you understand by tolerant community? (2marks)
  • Provide any four each characteristics of tolerant and intolerant communities. (8marks)
  • Come out with any three causes of religious intolerance in the community (6 marks)
  • Explain any four need for peaceful coexistence among religious groups? (4 marks)
