This curriculum overhaul aims to simplify and enhance the educational experience by focusing on fewer, but more comprehensive, subjects. This shift allows students to delve deeper into each topic, fostering a more thorough understanding and connection between different areas of study.

The strategy behind the changes includes:

1. Combining subjects: Related topics are merged into single, integrated courses to offer a more cohesive learning experience.

2. Removing less critical subjects: An evaluation of the curriculum has led to the removal of subjects that are deemed less essential for students’ future success.

3. Blending subjects: Elements from various subjects are incorporated into others to create interdisciplinary courses, mirroring the interconnected nature of real-world knowledge.

These adjustments aim to elevate the quality of education by allowing students and teachers to concentrate on fewer subjects, which can lead to more effective teaching and improved student outcomes. Preparations are underway to ensure a smooth transition to the new curriculum, including teacher training, updated materials, and revised assessment methods.

It’s important to note: Elective subjects will be categorized under respective programs of study. As of now, it’s unclear if existing programs like General Science, Agricultural Science, and General Arts will be renamed or restructured.
